Carving and Painting a Realistic Feather
April 26 – 27, 2017 at the Ward World Championship Education Conference
Beginner to Advanced – Participants are invited to join Jeff Rechin in a feather carving, texturing, and painting class. Students will follow along with the instructor as he guides them on developing a lifelike feather, and then examine and explore other feather types and techniques based on examples provided by the instructor. Each student will be given an almost finished blank which they will texture using power tools, wood burners, and light sanding, then they will learn sophisticated acrylic painting techniques for realism.
